A supply chain company in Xuyi is located in Xuyi Lobster Town. Its main product is seasoned lobster, which can achieve deep processing, standardization, and automation of lobsters. It ensures strict control from the field to the dining table, forming an integrated industrial chain of development, storage, processing, and sales. The project is divided into three phases. After formal production, it is expected to produce 5,000 tons of lobster products annually, with sales of approximately 250 million yuan.
On June 12, 2020, the Xuyi lobster processing base was completed and put into operation. Tang Jianqing, a researcher at the Provincial Freshwater Research Institute and the chief expert of the Jiangsu modern agriculture (Procambarus clarkii) industry system, attended the event and presented a plaque to the "Jiangsu Provincial Modern Agriculture Industry Technology System Xuyi (Procambarus clarkii) Base Demonstration Site" at the Xuyi Baoneng base. The completion ceremony will surely serve as a new starting point, seizing the favorable opportunities, continuously increasing investment, strengthening technological innovation, extending the industrial chain, and enhancing the value chain.
